It offers 32x32px upscaled alternate versions of MINIFANTASY's 8x8 asset packs with a new art style twist.

The new art style still maintains the proportions and character of MINIFANTASY, but gives it an interesting new touch.

Welcome to Upscale Fantasy - Dungeon, a charming 32x32 dungeon tileset. It includes all you need to create a fantasy-themed dungeon. Tiles, props and two fully animated characters!

What does this asset pack include?

• Dungeon tiles, including a variety of floors, walls and doors
• Dungeon furniture and decoration (tables, chairs, banners, jars, crates and more)

• Animated torches and candles

 

• A human hero with 7 animations (idle, walk, jump, attack, charged attack, damaged and die), in four different directions
• An Orc enemy with 7 animations (idle, walk, jump, attack, charged attack, damaged and die), in four different directions

HOW ARE THE ASSETS CREATE?

'UPSCALE FANTASY' uses 'MINIFANTASY' asset packs as the base.

The assets are automatically upscaled using an xBR tool created by CokeAndCode ( www.cokeandcode.com ).

xBR is a pixel art scaling algorithm that scales by rules. It was developed by Hyllian in 2011, mainly as a scaling filter for video game emulators.

CokeAndCode's tool uses this implementation: https://github.com/joseprio/xBRjs

xBR algorithm does not use any kind of AI to upscale the images.
