Welcome to Minifantasy🪵Forest Dwellers

This asset pack introduces a selection of nature and forest-inspired creatures to populate your Minifantasy forests, jungles, and swamps.

From benevolent tree spirits to terrifying fungal parasites, all the creatures are divided into three distinct categories. Each of these categories has a thematic thread that links all their respective creatures. Each one has been designed to make sure they fit into a believable ecosystem and to inspire interesting game mechanics.

All the creatures feature fluid animations in four directions including: Idle, walk, damage, die and attack (or a unique animation specific to their nature).

Every monster has been carefully designed to maintain the distinctive 8x8 super low-res aesthetic of the Minifantasy universe, offering rich variety for your forest-themed adventures.

🎨 What does this asset pack include?

🪵Woodborn

Sentient treepeople that protect and heal the forests.

✨ Tree Spirits

Small saplings that heal the forest and its inhabitants.

5 models based on different trees*

    

Besides the Idle animations above, they all include walk, plant seed, sapling, wake up, heal, dmg and die animations.

   

 

✨ Forest Guardians

When a Tree Spirit grows, it turns into a guardian. These warriors protect the forest against malicious forces.

*These tree variations are consistent with tree types available in the collection: Birch, Hickory, Oak, Pine, and Willow.

🌺Grimflorals

Predatory flower-like monsters that inhabit deep jungles and murky swamps.

✨ Creeperlings

Hyperactive small plant-like monsters whose only drive is an insatiable hunger.

It includes idle, run, bite, dmg and die animations

    

✨ Alpha Creeper

If a Creeperling feeds on enough prey for a long period, it turns into an Alpha Creeper, a big monstrosity that even preys on other powerful monsters.

It includes idle, run, bite, dmg and die animations

    

🍄Necromyces

Parasitic colonies formed by horrible fungal creatures.

✨ Necrothallus

A horrendous monstrosity formed, or covered by, a colony of parasitic fungus.

It includes idle, walk, plant necrofungus, dmg and die animations

   

 

✨ Necrofungus

Parasitic creatures that are always looking for new hosts, preferably humanoid.

It includes idle, jump, spread spored, dmg and die animations

    

✨ Fungified Corpse

A zombified host used by a Necrofungus to overwhelm possible attackers and spread their colonies.

It includes idle, walk, attack, dmg and die animations
