How to get the most out of Minifantasy?
💡 Minifantasy is an ever-evolving collection of low-resolution, yet high-quality, graphical assets for games. These assets are primarily released on Itch.io and are continually expanded with new main asset packs each month. By subscribing to Minifantasy's Patreon, you can keep your Minifantasy Itch collection updated, access a lot of exclusive content released monthly and enjoy several other benefits.
Maximizing Minifantasy
🗝️ To access all assets at the lowest price, buy the complete bundle on Itch and subscribe to the $3 Patreon tier. This gives access to all past and future releases.
Buying The assets on Itch
🛒 Find Minifantasy packs individually or in a bundle at Itch. The bundle offers the best value.
⚠️ Keep in mind that when you buy the bundle, you get all the released asset packs up to the point of purchase. Once you purchase the bundle, it doesn't get updated with future releases.
📢 To keep your collection updated at the lowest price, it's advised to have a Minifantasy Patreon subscription.
Subscribing on Patreon
A basic $3 subscription to Minifantasy's Patreon provides:
- 📬 Monthly pack release on Itch
- 🎁 Exclusive Minifantasy add-ons (typically 2 Pack Features and 2 Creatures per month)
- 🔓 Access to an extensive archive of previous Patreon exclusive content, available here
- 👋 Access to Minifantasy's Discord Server for community interaction
- 🗳️ Voting rights for next Minifantasy pack theme
- 🏷️ 50% off coupons for individual packs (not applicable to the bundle) for Patreon subscribers
If you like my work, and you can afford to support the project a little bit more, you can always opt for a higher tier. That means the world to me and you will get additional nice perks, including suggesting themes, features and creatures; and voting for exclusive content.
Gap between purchasing on Itch and subscribing to Patreon?
No worries. All Patreon members can download all previously released Patreon exclusive content. Members can also enjoy a 50% discount for individual packs (not applicable to the bundle).
Conclusion
Utilizing both Itch and Patreon is the key to getting the most out of Minifantasy. By purchasing the complete bundle on Itch and subscribing to Patreon, you'll gain access to a vast collection of assets at the lowest price and stay updated with all future releases. Plus, you'll enjoy a host of other benefits, like discounts, voting rights, and access to a dynamic community on Discord.

Hi Krishna, I have a question. I bought your Mini Fantasy pack with the intention of making a commercial board game, but in the license I only see mentions about digital projects. What are your rules about making a printed game?
Hi Chapitin! Thanks for asking. Right, the Itch license only covers digital projects. Before issuing a license for other project types, I like to know more about it first.
Feel free to reach me on Discord @krishnapalacio, we can move the conversation there.
Thanks! I sent you a friend request on Discord, that seems to be the only way I can DM you through there.
If I were to buy this complete pack would I be able to make a game and make it public and lets say it has money involved and iv given names etc at end credits would it okay to use all the art ?
Hi Xcor,
If you purchase the asset packs, you can use all the resources included in the packs to create your video game and publish it on any platform you wish.
I will leave the license details below for your reference:
📜Commercial License:
By acquiring this asset pack:
1) You are allowed to:
a) Use all the assets included in this pack in your own non-commercial or commercial videogame or audio-visual digital project an unlimited number of times.
b) Edit and alter the assets included in this pack with the purpose of including them in your own non-commercial or commercial video game or audio-visual digital project.
2) You are NOT allowed to:
a) Re-distribute or re-sell any of the assets included in this pack, or any altered versions of them, as games assets, images or NFTs.
3) You must:
a) Credit me (Krishna Palacio) in your video game or audio-visual digital project credits.
b) Send me a link to the project upon completion.
I purchased this pack a while ago. I started using the assets and re-downloaded all of the assets for this current project I'm working on. I found that I am missing the last ten releases to this all-inclusive bundle. How do I go about getting those ten items?
Edit: Now I understand. I read the entry for this one. You're wanting people to purchase the entire bundle first, then subscribe to the $3 tier to continue to keep their "complete bundle" complete. That is deceptive. I fully disagree with this practice and have no intention of purchasing anything else from you. If it is labeled as "complete", then all future releases should be included with the "complete" bundle.
NOW! To play self-devil's advocate, there's a probability that you don't have a mechanism to bundle the new packages in with the bundle as more assets are released. I just, mainly, disagree with the verbiage of the bundle and the assumptions that come with it.
Hi,
I'm sorry if the way I expressed it confused you; it wasn't my intention to mislead anyone. The word "complete" is used because the bundle includes all the asset packs released on Itch until the moment of purchase. I release a new pack every month, and the complete bundle is always updated with the latest release.
Besides, you are right, Itch doesn't allow retrospectively giving access to updated bundles after the purchase.
However, I do indeed want people to subscribe to my Patreon. Game asset creation is my full-time job, and I personally think that the monetization of the project is fair. I produce lots of asset packs to release on Itch + lots of extra content for Patrons. There is a relatively cheap entry point to get the full Itch collection, and then a small subscription of $3 USD to get all the extras and the new asset pack releases. But I understand it comes down to personal point of view, and I can understand if you don't see it this way.
I just would like you to know that I always try to be very transparent with my business model, and I want you guys to make informed purchases. I will review my wording and see how I can make it clearer to avoid future confusion.
Thanks for taking your time to share your feedback with me.
I want to say that yesterday, I was upset at other things and you were a catalyst. I do earnestly apologize.
Getting back to verbiage, the English language is tough and I don't know of a word you could use, honestly to communicate "complete until this point".
The fault falls on me, not you. I didn't fully read. I appreciate you trying to accept responsibility for something that wasn't your fault, but the truth is, that is mine. I apologize.
In a token of good faith, you asked to be tagged in any projects being made with your set. I have a YouTube channel if you're interested in the skut aspect of putting a game together. I'm on the boilerplate stage of the development process. Also, I plan on subscribing to the patreon because it is a great deal.
Again, I apologize. Don't change what you have because someone failed to read.
Hey! No worries at all, we all have our off days. I totally get it, and I'm just glad we sorted things out :)
Your YouTube channel sounds pretty cool! I really enjoy seeing how people end up using Minifantasy assets, so I'd love to check out how you're putting the game together. Drop the link here!
Thanks again for being so open about everything. All in all, feedback is necessary and always welcome (whether it is for praising or criticizing) and you have given me a couple of things to think about.
Let's focus on the fun stuff now, can't wait to see what awesome things you create!
Totally worth it!😀
